There was plenty of demand to use Cooke S4 primes for Super 16mm acquisition, but wider focal lenghts were necessary. So Cooke designed three new primes to add to their legendary Cooke S4 series, named “Cooke SK4,” a 6mm T2, 9.5mm T2, and 12mm T2.

They are a perfect optical match to S4 primes. Same housings, same coatings, same iris design. Same T2. Same 110mm front diameter. And of course, we offer a full set of Cooke S4 to give you more lens options, as well as the legendary Cooke 10-30mm T1.5 if you need a zoom to match.

Cooke SK4 (and S4) primes are very sharp, high-contrast lenses. The SK4 focal lengths in particular, have zero focus breathing, 8” close focus, reliable modern mechanics, and are a perfect choice for Super 16mm film.
