MORE INFO

If you are familiar with the “Leica M 0.8 Primes” these are the same optics, but with new cinema housings built by Leitz. The modern SUMMILUX-M glass is quite sharp wide open, but there is some texture to the bokeh. The lenses are medium contrast, resulting in saturated colors, without being too clinical, and flattering on your subject. In short, they are about as sharp as most of us need a modern lens to be. Flare character is quite beautful for modern lenses, and it will not overwhelm the image.

The new housings are physically very small, with 95mm fronts, and many are less than 2 pounds. Leitz greatly improved minimum focus distance on every focal length, and focus rotation is a generous 270 degrees. The lenses are LPL mount, and Old Fast Glass offers LPL mounts for nearly any camera system.

NOTE: They are not compatible with film cameras, and a few camera systems. Please let us know which camera(s) you hope to use them with.
