Series 65 Primes, are the result of our partnership with Ancient Optics, which involved years of research, testing countless lenses to find the best optics possible for 65mm format cinematography. Series 65 are a complete set of 9 vintage 65mm lenses with a truly cohesive and character-rich look. Every focal length is stunning. Series 65 lenses still offer high resolution easily resolving all the detail you need for 65mm motion picture formats, but with an equal amount of character and beauty.

Series 65 Cinema Primes all have a 60mm or larger image circle. That means all focal lengths cover ARRI Alexa 65 Open Gate, 65mm film (5 perf), the OFG Customs 65, or Black Magic Ursa 17K 65, without vignette. No optical expanders were used, and all lenses are made with genuine vintage optics.

All focal lengths have a 110mm front diameter, matching focus and iris gear positions, and stainless steel LPL mounts. Close focus capabilities of Series 65 lenses are quite impressive. The 30mm and 35mm share a remarkable close focus distance of 8 inches! You almost never need to worry about diopters when you choose this set.

We wanted to bring the same philosophy from our vintage Super 35, and Full Frame sets to the 65mm format: finding the perfect balance of character and performance. And we think Series 65 continues to represent that philosophy.
