The IronGlass Soviet Medium Format (SMF) Primes, consist of some of the most legendary and beautiful vintage Soviet optics, designed for 6x6 still photography, now professionally rehoused for cinema use. The lenses cover well beyond the motion picture 65mm format, so they easily cover the sensors of the Fujifilm Eterna 55, ARRI Alexa 265, and almost any format in the foreseeable future.
The lenses are sharp wide open, with medium to low contrast, and are quite flattering on your subject. The lenses all deliver a unique texture to bokeh, and its quite uniform across the set. Flares are nice, but do not overwhelm the image.
The IronGlass housings are PL mount, with 110mm fronts. They are are fairly compact and lightweight, with matching gear positions. They have cam driven focus systems for smooth effortless focus pulls in any temperature. IronGlass replaced the irises with new circular irises, giving the set uniform bokeh at any stop.
