MORE INFO
The RUBIN-1 37-80mm T3.1 is considered the first Russian zooms lenses designed for 36x24mm (Full Frame) 35mm still photography, and dates back to the 1960s. Its optical design is nearly identical to the Voigtlander 36-82mm, and the results are similar. The RUBIN is aa little softer, with slightly more textured bokeh than the Voigtlander. Flares are big, gold, blue and purple. This lens is parfocal, like all our cinema zooms lenses, so focus holds as you adjust your focal leght
It is our goal to have vintage zooms for all formats to pair with our vintage primes. This zoom is an excellent choice to pair with some of our oldest primes, like Bausch & Lomb Baltars and Super Baltars, TLS Canon Rangefinders, Type SK, or Kowa Prominars. Again, if you want a look that similar to the Voigtlander 36-82mm, but even dreamier, this is a great choice.
