We are thrilled to offer Super 16mm and Standard 16mm Bolex cameras with a flicker free HD Video Assist, integrated Gold Mount battery plate, remote RS, crystal sync, and OFG designed completely custom integrated camera cage!

The HD video assist replaces the original optical viewfinder, allowing the use of EVFs, monitors, recorders, and wireless video transmitters, and is much easier to monitor your image than the original optical viewfinder.

Teradek Transmitters with Gold Mount passthrough allow a very clean compact build. Also, the original optical viewfinder only allowed one fixed viewing positing, limiting how you are able to monitor and operate the camera. With the HD IVS, you can place your monitor or EVF anywhere you need, and monitor from any position. You can even remove all monitors from the camera, and use a Teradek to send the image to a handheld monitor elsewhere, which is great for car rigging, gimbal, and jib work. We also offer our own lightweight handgrip (pictured above) with integrated RS!

The battery plate is more than just a better, modern way to power the camera. It has 3-pin Fischer, 2-pin LEMO, and D-Tap outputs to power all your accessories, and even has an integrated start/stop button, which replaces the old clumsy power cables, or heavy battery hand grips. The battery plate is RS enabled which means you can remotely run/stop the camera with modern follow focus systems like ARRI Hi-5, WCU-4, and Tilta Nucleus. This is really helpful when the camera is rigged in a tight spot, on the end of a jib, or just far away. We have many Gold Mount batteries to choose from including the Anton Bauer Micro 45, 90, and 150 (pictured above), allowing you a lot of flexibility with the size and weight of your build.

Another amazing feature, our custom battery plate incorporates crystal sync at 23.98, 24, and 25 fps. This makes it a great option for shooting music performances where you need to sync to playback. The Bolex is technically not a sync sound camera, but it is fairly quiet at those frame rates.

Finally, we designed our own complete camera cage system which includes side plate, top plate, front plate, base plate, ARRI rosette, and 15mm LWS rod bracket. The cage makes several contact points with the camera, making everything rock solid. There are so many ways to mount accessories, and these aluminum cage pieces while only adding about 1.5 pounds to eh camera protect the camera, IVS, and battery plate from impacts.

We have several kits that have had their gates expanded to Super 16, and we have Standard 16 kits available as well.

This is possibly the smallest lightest Super 16mm film camera with a modern video assist, and crystal sync available anywhere. At half the weight of an ARRI SR3 this little camera is perfect for a compact B-Cam, car mount, car interiors, gimbal, Snorricam, hand held, and anywhere you need a small camera. It even has custom 15mm LWS rod support making it easy to build out with any matte box or follow focus systems.

As for lenses, we have many 16mm and S16mm lens options in PL mount, and we have some beautiful, ultra-lightweight C Mount lenses as well.
