The Canon 25-250mm T2.95 is an absolute technological achievement. It’s one of the smallest and light 10x zooms ever made, yet still has a fast maximum aperture, is very sharp, and has very controlled focus breathing.

The thing that really sets this lens apart is that it has an 1.5X optical extender built into the lens. Just flip a switch and the lens becomes a 37.5-375mm T3.95…and…it covers full frame! It’s half the size and half the cost of an Angenieux Ultra 12x, and it’s optimized for both the S35 and FF formats without needing to swap out the rear optics.

You can also use the optional servo unit which gives you automated servo control of the focus, iris, and zoom.
