MORE INFO

This is one of the widest lenses for the Super 16mm format. Keep in mind this is a rectilinear lens, not a fisheye. It does have some barrel distortion, which it to be expected from a lens this wide. The lens is sharp on center, with gradual falloff towards the edges. Thanks to its vintage coatings it has very nice flare character.

Keep in mind this is a fixed-focus lens. Due to huge depth of field associated with an ultra-wide-angle lens on the S16 format, pretty much everything in your frame will be in focus from just inches in front of the lens, all the way to infinity. The lens delivers solid results at T2, but we recommend shooting around T4 to get sharper corners and more contrast.

*** NOTE: The lens is too wide to work with matte boxes or filters.
