Konica Hexanons have been coveted by many photographers for decades, and they are finally available for professional cinematography thanks to this collaboration between Ancient Optics and GL Optics. As a brand, Konica flew under the radar for many of us today, but their image quality and consistency rivaled other Japanese lens and camera manufacturers like Canon, Nikon, and Minolta.

These lenses are sharp wide open, with very low CA. Bokeh is smooth, and flares have a beautiful quality to them, mostly purple, gold, and blue. The lenses focus very close, especially the 28mm with its amazing 7” minimum focus distance!

These are the MKV housings from GL optics featuring solid, reliable mechanics, 110mm fronts, matching gear positions, PL mounts, and of course full frame coverage.
