This incredible zoom has roughly the field of view of 19-378mm in Super-35 terms, so you always have the focal length you need from wide to extreme telephoto. Canon Super-16 zooms got some well-deserved press a while back for their use on HURT LOCKER. These days we can can really take advantage of these incredible, fast, light-weight zooms now that so many cameras offer a Super 16mm recording format. And of course, you can pair this lens with any of our 16mm film cameras.

This lens is surprisingly sharp for the huge range it covers, even when shot wide open. It has medium to high contrast, and beautiful lens flares. It’s one of our larger 16mm zooms, but still much smaller than S35 and FF zooms, and is still fine for handheld and/or documentary work.
