MORE INFO

Canon K35s are the perfect combination of amazing performance and unique character. They are low contrast, have a gentle focus fall-off, and produce gorgeous pastel skin-tones. Our set is made up of some of the oldest K-35s produced, therefore they are quite warm, and flares are a beautiful mix of gold, amber and magenta. They cover Full Frame, they are high speed lenses, have excellent close-focus and their 15-blade iris means your bokeh is always a soft circular shape. They are also one of the best performing vintage super speed lenses when shot wide-open thanks in a large part to their aspherical designs. That design was a big reason Canon K-35s won an Academy Award in 1977 for innovation. For some modern references, K35s were used to lens HER, AMERICAN HUSTLE and THE HANDMAID'S TALE.

These lenses were rehoused by TLS (True Lens Services) in London. TLS lenses have become an industry standard due to their superb build quality and reliability. A popular addition to the 5-lens set is our 1960s 45mm f1.4 (T1.6) which pairs really well with the K35s, and perfectly fills the gap between the 35mm and 55mm. The lens has very similar color, contrast, bokeh and flares. We also have a complete TLS rehoused 9-lens set of Canon FD primes from the 1970s, that pair really well with the K35s, if you need additional focal lengths to round out our K35s.

We are also now offering our unique Canon FD-X 18mm T1.5, which is a very good match to the K35s, and unlike the 18mm K35, the FD-X covers full frame sensors. So if you want the K35 look, and the field of view of 18mm on a large format sensor, the 18mm T1.5 FD-X is the only option.

TLS was able to make some of the lenses focus closer than their stock housings. All the lenses have a 330 degree focus throw, matching 110mm fronts, and matching positions for the focus and iris gears.
