Despite the small size of the SP3 primes, they have full frame coverage, beautiful housings with true internal focus, smooth mechanics, and properly geared focus and iris rings, ready to work with modern FIZ and follow focus systems. So while they are similar to Cine-Modded primes in size and weight, they are mechanically superior in every way. This makes them ideal for compact builds, drone work, gimbals, ultra-light handheld builds, and any other scenario where you need a small set-up.
Image quality is excellent. They are sharp wide open, with lovely flares, and enough texture to their bokeh to give them a touch of vintage flavor.
We added Duclos Lenses 80mm fronts which accept 77mm filters and diopters, also great for compact builds if you need to work without a matte box..
* Since Cooke isn’t currently making an SP3 wider than the 25mm, we decided to make our own! OFG Customs, our in-house Design & Development team, developed a custom modified wide angle adapter to use with the 25mm, giving you an 18.5mm T2.4 that covers full frame. Image quality is excellent. Close focus is just a few inches from the front element, and infinity focus is maintained, with virtually no light loss.
